Clementine & Jeremy
Clementine's Mom sent
us the following update:
"After fostering
for a month, my husband Jeremy and I adopted Clementine (f/k/a Lady)
in June through Brigitte Ritchie and Almost Heaven. We couldn’t
be happier, although it took us the first month or so to get over
the jitters of having a new dog. Separation anxiety was a real problem,
but we worked it out. We decided to change her name to Clementine
to celebrate her southern roots and her beautiful color. We love
her dearly and, after only four months, can’t imagine life without
her. The picture below is of Clementine and my husband on our vacation
this summer in Maine.
I just wanted to add
her to the Happy Endings and to thank you for helping us adopt such
a sweet, wonderful dog. Your organization and the work you do are
tremendous. "

King and Ian
King's Mom sent us the
following update:
"Here is a pic
of Ian and King from last week. They went 'shopping'in the backyard
for twigs, rocks and leaves. Ian is holding the straps of his paper
shopping bag, but you can't see it. King is adjusting beautifully
and we are learning that he was trained on a leash quite well. He
LOOOVES to chase those squirrels! Each morning we open the door
for him and he dashes off the deck to rid the yard of those rodent
nuisances. he's a joy. Thanks for entrusting him to us. last night
he slept with Connor and Donovan in their room next to the bed.
"

Baby, Bear & Tina
Baby and Bear's Mom sent
us the following update:
"Trio of Olden
Golden's!! (and a couple of Blondes!)
Our daughter Rachel was here to meet us, and they took to her immediately!
She brushed them, fed them, walked them, and they are VERY happy!
Tina took to them as a friend instantly, and all three are asleep
in our room! The cats are being cautious, but B & B don't seem
to care!
All went well on the trip home, and they seem to be very comfortable
here. Tails are up and wagging, and both have eaten, drunk water,
and marked their areas in the back yard!
Thank you again for all your help in making this a smooth transaction.
We'll keep in touch!"

Samantha
Samantha's family sent
us the following update, Samantha "is now a svelte 80
lbs. and can actually trot around the block. She is doing so very
well...as if she was always our love. We lost our old guy last
June to a liver condition we didn't even know he had until 2 weeks
before his death. Samantha was such a blessing to us as we worked
through out loss. Thanks so much for her."

Matthew's Mom wrote
to say:
"Carol,
The little man is
doing just great...
He is quite the love
- just LOVES people - he is starting to bond with our shepherd
although I think he was scared to death of her at first. She is
really quite gentle - just big. Today we took them both for a
walk and he enjoyed himself rolling in the grass. He walks quite
well on the leash...
Thanks for everything Carol."

Chase & Family
Chase's family sent
us the following update, "...here are the recent photos
of Chase...we wanted you to see how good Chase looks. He's gained
5lbs since we've had him and just another 5 more and he'll be
at a perfect weight. With the trainers help, I have taught him
to sit, go down, lay on his side in fact he has mastered
it now without using treats as an incentive. He is the BEST! We
love him."
