Bullet
Bullet's Mom wrote:
"Carol, ...I can't
say enough good about Bullet. I am so thankful that he is in our
life. He is so well behaved, contented, happy and such a blessing
in our life. Yesterday, he received in the mail a new bed from
LL Bean with his name embroidered on it. He loves his new bed.
He lays on it and squeak, squeak, squeaks his toys. This picture
is the only digital image that I have right now but we have several
snap shots that I hope to get them in the mail to you soon.
Have a great weekend!

Gracie
Gracie's Dad Mark sent
us the following update, "Gracie is adjusting well to family
life. She goes on several walks a day and spends the whole night
in her crate. When she and I go on walks, we practice our basic
walking commands. Gracie is very smart and is learning very quickly...
Gracie is starting to feel
right at home. She plays with her toys, loves to chew on the booda bones, and enjoys
taking naps on the floor when we are nearby. She is eating very well. She is really
a sweet dog..."

Katydid aka Katie (formerly MiMi)
Katie's Mom Kari sent us the
following update: "Katie is a really energetic and agile
dog. She is very exuberant and is still learning some of the social
graces. We love her so much already. She will continue to grow
in our hearts as she learns to slightly more restrained in interactions...

Maggie & Her Family
Maggie's Family sent
us the following update: "...Maggie fit into our family
right from the car trip back to Pennsylvania. She is such a sweetheart!
She's waiting at the door for our daily walk each day when we
arrive home from work. It seems like she has always been here.
She sits in our yard watching the squirrels and chipmunks. Luckily
they are faster than she is. We couldn't be happier now that Maggie
is in our lives. We are so glad we made that 4 hour trip (one way!) to make her a part of our family!"

Samantha and Pads
Samantha's mom tells
us, "Samantha is doing wonderfully. She is getting up
and down the stairs now and actually seems to prefer it upstairs.
She has lost another 2 pounds as of a week ago. Here is her picture
with her new brother, Pads. Thank you for her. She has been a
wonderful addition to our family."

Barney (formerly known as Claude)
Barney's Mom sent us
the following update: "...my beautiful baby. How far he
has come! What a very big dog he will be - he's gained almost
20 pounds since I brought him home - he's filled out & is very
strong. Hasn't grown into his feet yet, but I suspect that he
will very soon. He weights 80 lbs now... He is quite the character...friendly
to everyone - other dogs included. Is still very gun-shy with
people he doesn't know, but once you feed him, he's your buddy
for life...Barney excelled at obedience school (when he wants
to listen) and prances quite prettily and has loads of energy.
(tires me out!). He's just the
sweetest dog and I'm so glad that I got him. I spoil him rotten,
I must confess.
He & I both thank
you.

Atticus and Jordie
Jordie (aka: Geordie, Gordo)
Jordie's family sent
us the following update, "It'll be a year this coming
Memorial Day that we picked up Jordie (aka: Geordie, Gordo). While
a bit skiddish at first (not to wonder, given his new surroundings...),
he's become a real sweetheart of a companion to our other Golden,
Atticus and a wonderful member of our family.
The two dogs get along famously--including our cat Sebastian,
who 'rules the roost' when the three of them are together. Health-wise,
he's doing quite well--our vet found out in January that he has
a low thyroid output--so he and Atticus are on daily thyroid meds.
Geordie 'talks' to us when we come home from work. And while we're
drifting off to sleep (of course, both dogs just HAVE to accompany
us on the bed!), Geordie will serenade us with a collection of
grunts, moans, groans and sighs as he settles in for the evening...
Geordie seems quite happy with his new home. And we are quite
happy that he has graced our lives. We wish for a long and happy
life for him, Atticus and Sebastian.
We've enclosed a few photos from last month after an unexpected
snowfall... One is of the two of them standing on the deck; one
is a face shot of the two (Jordie is on the right); the last one
is of Jordie.
Thank you so much for being there. Thank you so much for caring
for the Goldens as you have.
Peace!
