13th Annual Alexandria Canine Games

Cost: Pre-registration $20 per dog; On-site registration $25 per dog.
Additional dogs from the same household are $15 each.

Make plans to attend this one-of-a-kind event!! On-site registration begins at 9 am. The Games will officially open at 10 am and will run until 12:45 pm. The awards ceremony at 1:15 pm will follow a fly-ball demonstration and president/dog look-alike contest.
Dogs of all athletic abilities can compete in our ‘Indogural Events’ such as the “Race for the White House” (Steeplechase), “Slush Fund Slurping” (ice cream eating), “Evidence Toss” (Frisbee), and many more fun games in the spirit of this presidential election year. The top three finishers in each game will be awarded bronze, silver and gold Canine Games medals. The Canine Games is the League’s signature event and attracts over 600 dogs from all over the D.C. Metro area! Spectators, both human and canine, are free. The first 400 pre-registrants receive a T-Shirt and Doggie Bag filled with goodies from our sponsors. All dogs must have current rabies vaccinations.

9th ANNUAL Paws for a Cause 3K Walk

Bring your friends, family and pets for this wonderful 3K walk through the shady streets of Fairfax. There will be human and canine treats along the way! All registered participants will receive a "Paws for a Cause" T-shirt. You must attend the walk to receive your T-shirt.

Mimi is a gorgeous and very well behaved young girl, who is only about a year old.

Emma is a petite and well mannered 15 month old. She loves everyone and everything.

Belle has been added to Almost Heaven's list of Adoptable Golden's Looking for Forever Homes.

Belle is 5-6 years old. She craves attention and would love to be an only dog. Belle does have a thryroid issue that is easily controlled with very inexpensive medication.

Almost Heaven has a new permanent resident... Harriett... abandoned at a shelter at age 12. Her coat had to be shaved as it was beyond help and she also has numerous tumors which will be evaluated.
